Day 12 – Tower of London and London Eye

After defying gravity, the night before we headed back to London.

Today, we are exploring the largest Ferris wheel in Europe, the London Eye! The students were able to see, almost 30 miles across London, seeing sites, such as Buckingham Palace, the BT Tower, Wembley Stadium and London’s tallest skyscraper the shard!

After our trip on the Eye, we boarded one of the River Thames’ many cruise vessels and sailed east to the Tower of London.

At the Tower of London, the students were able to see the Crown Jewels, as used for the coronation of King Charles III on the 6th of May. Students were also able to learn about the Ravens in the Tower, the Bloody Tower, and the many prisoners who were kept at the Tower. Students also learnt about Queen Anne Boleyn, King Henry VIII’s second wife, who was executed the tower in 1536.
