Independent Schools Cultural Alliance - ISCA – Summer Programs in the UK

Our second on campus day

ISCA 2016’s second on campus day was just as successful and sunny as the last. The sun was shining on our student’s pretty faces with a light sprinkle in between the first and second session. We were lucky with the weather today, with no clouds in the sky and steady temperature of 28 C (82 F).

Today the students got the chance to participate in more on campus activities including rugby, hockey, soccer, netball, cricket, and, new to the mix, drama. The students all gave 110% whilst doing their activities; such a great energy on campus today!

In the late afternoon the students took on the staff at a game of cricket with the staff pulling out the victory, with a winning score of 102 to 99; so close! Despite the staff’s win, the students all pulled together and played brilliantly; the staff were very impressed! We still have student vs. staff volleyball, soccer, and basketball. Keep an eye on the blog to find out how the students did against the staff.

In the evening the students received an informative and exciting presentation about the famous playwright William Shakespeare, all in preparation before their trip tomorrow to Stratford-Upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s home town.
