Day 17 – Brighton & Wicked The Musical at the Apollo Theatre

Today we went to Brighton to enjoy a typically English seaside. Plans to have ice cream on the beach and fish and chips on the promenade whilst bathing in the gorgeous sunshine and fighting off greedy seagulls were thwarted when the sun decided not to make an appearance all day. However, that didn’t stop our students from enjoying the arcades and the dodgems on Brighton Pier, exploring The Lanes, seeing the stunning Royal Pavilion and doing some last minute shopping before they all leave on Sunday.

After lunch we then went back to Wellington for an early dinner and a quick outfit change before getting back on the coaches to go to London for our theatre trip to the Apollo Theatre to watch the incredible Wicked The Musical. Everyone was so excited, one girl was so overwhelmed she was crying happy tears throughout the performance! The production was simply wonderful and it was such magical evening. Tomorrow we’re off to Oxford and Blenheim Palace. I wonder how many students will come back wearing University of Oxford jumpers….!
