Day 3 – Portsmouth & Arundel Castle
Today, we got to visit the city of Portsmouth where you can find the HMS Victory, England’s flagship of the line of the Royal Navy which participated in the Battle of Trafalgar! We got to the dockyard where the ship is, got aboard and explored the different parts of it, learning about how the sailors lived there and a lot about Lord Nelson and his death, which was there.
In the afternoon, we visited the delightful Arundel Castle, residence of the Duke of Norfolk. There were amazing gardens and a very nice view in addition to the incredible rooms and halls that make up this castle. Afterwards, students got the chance to venture around Arundel and buy some ice-cream while having fun with their friends.
