ISCA 2017 Arrivals Day
ISCA 2017 at Wellington Campus has officially begun!
Travelling from the USA, Brazil, Peru and Hawaii, 10 schools comprising of 90 students and 12 teachers all arrived at our Wellington Campus safely today. After unpacking and a bit of lunch, everyone took part in an afternoon of activities. Working in teams they clambered through a spider’s web, untangled themselves from a human knot, tried to find their friends whilst blindfolded and created contraptions to keep eggs unbroken when dropped from a height of 10 feet. It’s safe to say some didn’t make it! Once each team had completed every exercise, the students were then shown around the 400-acre campus, getting a chance to see the beautiful main buildings, the chapel, the Mandarin Centre, the colourful gardens, Swan Lake and all of the sports facilities and sports grounds. After the long flight and a jam-packed afternoon, we topped off the day with a wonderful Welcome BBQ. All the students are now in bed and getting a good night’s sleep before the ISCA adventure properly starts tomorrow. Next stop…the Tower of London, the River Thames Boat Tour and the London Eye!!
