ISCA Scotland Day Five – Arthur’s Seat & Ice Skating
Today we had a very traditional New Year’s Day climbing the extinct volcano, Arthur’s Seat. It was an absolutely stunning day in the beautiful sunshine where we had magnificent views over Edinburgh, Leith and the Forth of Firth! This afternoon we went to Real Mary King’s Close where we went underground to learn about life in Edinburgh in the 1600’s. To top it all off, we finished the day with ice skating around St Andrew Square. There were many ice skating pros but also some hilarious beginners with everyone heading back to the hotel with massive smiles on their faces.
This evening we played some traditional games including Monopoly, Dobble, Uno, card games and salad bowl! Tomorrow we’re heading off to Stirling to learn about William Wallace and Robert the Bruce as well as seeing the Kelpies!
