Day 15 – London Walks & Hampton Court Palace

It’s hard to believe it’s the final week of ISCA 2017. We’ve made so many new friendships and some great memories…but before we start to get too emotional we still had plenty of time today for some lovely picturesque walks around St James’s Park, enjoying all of the sights.

The groups began on Whitehall where we saw the Cabinet War Rooms, Number 10 Downing Street, the Cenotaph, Horse Guards Parade and Trafalgar Square. The history along that single street was quite unbelievable and the day had only just begun.

Afterwards we headed for the Mall. Along the way we stopped at St James’s Palace before arriving at Buckingham Palace. Unfortunately there were no sightings of the Queen but we were lucky enough to see the Changing of the Guard! The morning ended with lunch in the beautiful St James’s Park. This afternoon took us to Hampton Court Palace. It was fascinating to see how the palace had changed throughout history. The gardens were majestic and so well manicured, although the maze was completely mind boggling (especially for our experienced ISCA staff member Mike).Once we arrived back at Wellington it was time for Staff vs. Student basketball, it’s fair to say there was only one clear winner!

After another successful day for the Wellington Campus it’s now time to look forward to tomorrow’s Wellington Challenge!
