Day 8 – Stratford-upon-Avon

Day 8! We woke up, we had a great breakfast and we got onto the coaches.

We arrived at the Stratford Visitor Center and then walked to the town centre. Some groups took pictures with a new Shakespeare statue. We had some free time for lunch and met back at the amazing statue for a guided walk. On this walk, we saw many sites that were relevant to Shakespeare’s life and legacy, like the Gardens of New Place, Hall’s Croft and Holy Trinity Church – where he was baptised AND buried. We visited his Birthplace and had some more free time after that.

Learning about Shakespeare today was very interesting. It’s crazy how he’s still relevant even today.

We came to Cranleigh and went straight to a much needed dinner. We had another voluntary activity session including Volleyball, Football and Tennis. Finally, we went to bed.
