Day Five – HMS Victory and Arundel Castle

Another sunny day here at Charterhouse! Today the students travelled in a fleet of coaches towards HMS Victory, the historic heart of the Royal Navy and Arundel Castle, the residence of the Duke of Norfolk. Students enjoyed a boat tour of the harbour and were able to see newer ships such as HMS Queen Elizabeth (An aircraft carrier) and HMS Dragon (A destroyer) next to far older ships such as HMS Victory. A tour of the Victory followed, allowing for an interactive experience and everyone was engaged and interested in what the guides had to say. Arundel Castle and Gardens were enjoyed by all- particularly the gardens! After dinner, the students enjoyed a range of activities such as basketball and tennis! Tomorrow is a trip to Covent Garden to see the street performers and a trip to Parliament!
