Independent Schools Cultural Alliance - ISCA – Summer Programs in the UK

Day Nineteen – ISCA Olympics

Today was the ISCA Olympics. Students were split into 10 countries. Each student represents their country and participates in all of the different events which demonstrate the skills they have learnt during the sports and activities throughout the 3 weeks. These include hockey dribbling, golf putting, football dribbling, cricket bowling, the long jump, rugby ball throw, the famous ISCA skills race and theĀ 60m dash.

In our second activity session, each team took part in the 4 x 100m relays. Points were awarded to the winners of each event which accumulated throughout the day to eventually give us the winning country.

In the afternoon, the students were free to decide what voluntary activities they would like to participate in, including tennis, football, volleyball, hockey and art. They then had time to pack before dinner.

This evening we had our final presentation and prize giving where we handed out prizes to the winning team of the ISCA Olympics and to the students who took part in our Future Skills courses. Luke then thanked everyone for a wonderful three weeks, including the ISCA staff, international chaperones, participating schools, parents and students, before we showed a video showing the highlights of the three weeks with photos and video blogs.
