ISCA Scotland Day Two – St Andrews
Today we went to the spectacular seaside town of St Andrews. We split into small groups and explored the ruins of St Andrews Castle, climbed St Rule’s Tower and walked around the sight of St Andrews Cathedral. We then had a fish and chip lunch before heading to the infamous and stunning golf course, The Old Course. This course overlooks the 2-mile long West Sands Beach, the location for the 1981 film Chariots of Fire, where a number of the students recreated the scene of the runners on the beach.
After dinner we headed out to the Christmas Markets in Edinburgh where students drank hot chocolate, ate hot waffles, got lost in the Christmas Tree Maze and went on a number of the fairground rides. Tomorrow we’re off to Edinburgh Castle and the Old Town. Let’s hope they have another incredible day.
