ISCA visit The Globe Theatre, Tate Modern and St Paul’s Cathedral

Today the ISCA crowd headed back into central London to visit Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, the Tate Modern and St Paul’s cathedral.

Despite the torrential rain, spirits remained high as the students took part in an action packed workshop with the incredibly talented Shakespearean actors. Budding actors and actresses were appearing left, right and centre! The group also experienced a tour of the theatre and the fantastic exhibition.

Following a well deserved lunch in the vast turbine hall, we explored the Tate Modern and its impressive collections. A slightly damp walk over the Millennium Bridge took us to our final stop of the day – St Paul’s cathedral. Its’ breathtaking architecture and design left the group in awe, whilst the 500 step climb to the top of its iconic dome left others slightly out of breath!

Despite the jam-packed day of sightseeing, the students returned to campus to challenge the staff at a game of basketball. They put up a good fight but the staff team managed to pull out a win.
