ISCA visits Blenheim Palace and Oxford!
Hello friends and family of ISCA! Today was a lovely day spent at Blenhiem Palace – Home of Duke of Marlborough and Birthplace of Winston Churchill, and the beautiful ‘City of Dreaming Spires’ – Oxford!
The students enjoyed a walking tour of the City of Oxford, encompassing the Bodleian Library, Ashmolean Museum, several Oxford colleges and all of the amazing spires of the city! They also had the opportunity for souvenir shopping – guess how many bought Oxford Hoodies???
Blenheim Place is simply amazing. Given to the First Duke of Marlborough in 1704 (after he won one battle!!) it is one of, if not the, finest estates in England. The group wondered around the 2,000 acre grounds, saw one of the longest libraries in the World, and of course tried the Blenheim Palace ice cream!!
All students are now safely in their boarding houses ready for what is, perhaps, our busiest day tomorrow – the Warner Brothers Harry Potter studios and the free day in London! We will also be going to see ‘War Horse’ in the West End in the evening.
