Independent Schools Cultural Alliance - ISCA – Summer Programs in the UK

Day Four – Campus Day One

Today, on July 13th, we woke up at 7:30 AM and got ready for an 8 AM breakfast. I had yogurt with cereals and a glass of orange juice. We had some free time until 10:10 AM, and after it we went to the ISCA Garden to get an introduction to what on-campus days would entail. During the event, we were divided into six groups, and I was assigned to Group 1.

In Group 1, our first activity was netball, a sport I had never played before. At first, I felt a bit confused, but as time went on, I found myself liking it more and more. It was an exciting experience. After netball, we moved on to play field hockey, a game I was familiar with. It was great fun to have a match with people who were new to hockey and didn’t know much about it.

Once the match ended, we took a break for lunch. We had a pasta meal that replenished our energy. Later, my group and I engaged in a game of cricket, where I made new friends from Peru and Brazil. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with people from different countries while enjoying the sport.

The on-campus day came to a close, marking the end of a new and exciting experience. I can’t wait to have another similar day filled with such memorable moments.
