ISCA Visit the Globe Theatre and St Paul’s Cathedral
Another beautiful day of sunshine and sight-seeing! The kids were able to experience the many different facets of English history all within central London. They toured the Globe theatre and even had the opportunity to brush up on their “Romeo and Juliet” in acting workshops with one of the company’s stage directors. They then spent some time taking in surealist pieces in the Tate Modern Art Museum. After a leisurely walk over the millenium bridge, the kids found themselves face to face with the largest gothic cathedral in Europe, St. Paul’s Cathedral. They saw the tombs of some of the greatest names in English history such as Admiral Nelson and Christopher Wren, the cathedral’s architect. The brave at heart climbed up an astonishing 528 steps to view the city skyline. They finished off the day with a student vs. staff volleyball game leading to yet another impressive victory by the staff! Hoping for another day of glorious sun tomorrow for another action- packed on campus day!
